We are pleased to announce the launch of a new service providing pre-delivery assembly of furniture.
We are currently providing the assembly of dining tables and chairs, as well as occasional furniture such as coffee tables, lamp tables and console tables, for a large, multinational retailer.
Containers of the product parts are delivered to our warehouse in Lancashire, where a dedicated assembly station has been built.
The parts are sorted then the products are assembled and quality checked, before being delivered to customers’ homes throughout the UK and Ireland in our specialist home delivery vehicles.
Our managing director, Tim Aspey, said the innovation had led to significant savings for the retailer on its 600 deliveries per month.
“Because the assembly is conducted at our warehouse, instead of at each customer’s home, it means our crews can complete deliveries much faster, thereby reducing costs significantly for the retailer,” he explained.
“Also, we are able to carry out a full quality inspection before the product is delivered, so our customer can be 100% confident that their furniture is reaching the end user in perfect condition.”
