Our commitment to innovation has been recognised with a Highly Commended award in the Innovation of the Year category at the 2015 Red Rose Awards.
We received the accolade at the black tie awards dinner at Blackpool's Winter Gardens on Thursday evening and will receive our certificate at a special winners' reception at Hoghton Tower next week.
A panel of independent judges were impressed by the level of innovation demonstrated by our laboratory relocations division. Not only did our unique service provisions, based on extensive market research and tailored sales techniques, lead to us becoming the first and only company in our sector to offer a truly global service provision, but also to becoming the first and only firm to offer a fully comprehensive laboratory relocation project management service, including management and booking of OEMs and vendors.
We also created a unique -20 degree temperature unit in order to facilitate the relocation of some very sensitive and very unusual live samples. This unit is totally unique to Andrew Porter Limited and means we will be able to carry out similar relocations of critical samples in the future.
Managing director, Tim Aspey, commented: "Through our laboratory relocation division we have successfully filled a gap in the global marketplace, offering our customers a truly unique turnkey service provison. We are very pleased to have our hard work recognised by the judges."
Andrew Porter Ltd was also shortlisted in the International Achievement category. Last year we won the Growing Business of the Year award.
