About Andrew Porter

We are a Removal Company based in Adlington, Lancashire, providing Local and Nationwide Removals, European and Interational Removals, Commercial and Office Removals, Household, Archive and Document Storage.

Unlike many of the furniture removal companies that are “here today and gone tomorrow” we are a long established removal company undertaking house removals since 1973.

In recent years, we have moved to our own newly built office and warehouse complex (the largest purpose built containerised storage warehouse in the North West). The new complex has its own in-house training centre where all the company’s employees are fully trained and accredited to the “British Association of Removals” standard.

Not only has this ensured that all of our employees are trained and accredited to the “British Association of Removers” standard, but also that we are leading the way now and in the future. This has culminated in Andrew Porter Limited being awarded the privilege of becoming the dedicated training centre for the North West of England on behalf of the British Association of Removers. This means that Andrew Porter Limited are the only removal company in the North West of England who are permitted to train staff from other removal companies in the correct methods of handling furniture.

In 1995 the company was approached by a leading high street retailer to become a specialist in new furniture home and retail distribution. The company now occupies a purpose built distribution centre with 110,000 sq ft of general warehousing and 35,000 sq ft pallet storage facility. Having steadily built this business over the years, we currently carry out over 3,000 home and retail deliveries a week for many of the major high street retailers, mail order companies and furniture manufacturers.
