A Lancashire-based removals and furniture logistics firm is celebrating after securing a major new contract.
Andrew Porter Ltd, based in Adlington, near Chorley, manages delivery, removals, storage and logistics for clients across the UK, Europe and the world, and has been awarded the contract by chair specialists HSL.
The new business is worth in excess of £1million and will involve the experienced team making more than 500 deliveries per week to customers in every corner of the British Isles.
Family-run HSL produces high quality handmade chairs, beds, sofas and recliners and has 12 stores across the country. The company prides itself on providing excellent customer service from initial enquiry through to delivery and installation and this is one reason why it chose Andrew Porter Limited to handle its deliveries.
Managing director of Andrew Porter Ltd, Tim Aspey, said: "We have been steadily building our business since 1973 and although our customer base has changed during those years, what remains the same is our commitment to an excellent delivery service which satisfies every customer.
"Our experience in removals, deliveries and logistics means we have the knowledge and expertise to handle specialist projects and deal with any item, large or small, fragile or robust, that requires moving.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to join forces with HSL. We feel that our core values match perfectly and are looking forward to enjoying a very successful working relationship."
Andrew Porter Ltd operates from the largest purpose-built distribution centre in the North West, comprising 300,000 square feet of general warehousing and 35,000 square feet of high bay pallet storage space.
