Moving home means that many of your valuable items will be transported together in the same vehicle, so it is advisable to purchase comprehensive insurance in the event of accidental damage.
Andrew Porter Ltd's home removals and storage insurance will enable you to rest easy, knowing that your valuables are covered in the event of any damage during transit during your move. Fire insurance is included.
Home removals insurance allows you to cover yourself against losses greater than the limits set out in our terms and conditions and for risks where you have no right of recourse over the removal contractor.
With removals insurance you will not have to prove negligence by the moving company as long as the cause of loss or damage is not excluded by the policy.
Our removals insurance covers your goods against loss or damage while in our care and control. We will provide a full policy wording detailing what our insurance covers, including full coverage on damage by breakage, vehicle accidents, fire, storm and theft.
Fire insurance on any stored items is included in the policy.
Andrew Porter Ltd's insurance will compensate for, replace or repair any lost or damaged goods, with the insurer's approval.
We don't like to think the worst, but to give you added peace of mind in the event of unforeseen circumstances, a Cancellation Waiver will mean you do not incur an extra charge if your move can't go ahead. Normally you will be liable for a cancellation fee if you needed to postpone or cancel the move after confirmation.
The Late Key Waiver is designed to save you stress and money in the event that the removal team cannot gain access to your new house at the agreed time.
Normally we would charge £55 per hour plus VAT if your removal team is kept waiting at your new property. Our Late Key Waiver gives you the flexibility of a three-hour time window for only £25 plus VAT, saving you up to £125 if there is a delay.
This means your crew will remain on site to unload your belongings until 7pm or until the crew's working hours are up according to the Working Time Directive.
