Start-up the conversation with new business group

Andrew Porter Limited, along with flexible workspace provider Bizspace, has launched a new social networking group to give support to new businesses.

The group - Start-Up Support for New Businesses - is on LinkedIn.com, which is known as 'the Facebook for business people'.

Since the two companies embarked on a strategic partnership last month, they have committed to support new businesses and help them on the road to success during this tough economic climate.

Both Andrew Porter Limited and Bizspace are offering discounted services to start-up companies, to help provide them with professional accommodation and fit-out at reduced rates.

"We wanted to take our support a step further and seeing as social networking is at the forefront of so much business communication these days, we thought LinkedIn would be an excellent platform to do this," said John Best, national accounts manager at Andrew Porter Limited.

"There can be so much to think about when starting a new business and we thought it would be helpful to give people an easy-to-access forum to seek advice."

Bizspace's sales and marketing director, Emma Long, continued: "We already have a section on our website which offers guidance on the products and services which a new company may need, but our LinkedIn group takes this to the next level, allowing new business owners to ask questions, share advice and compare information.  We hope it will really benefit people in the early stages of their business."

Andrew Porter Limited, the UK's leading independent business relocation provider, announced its partnership with Bizspace, the largest national provider of flexible workspace in the UK, in June.

The collaboration comes after Bizspace signed up to be part of Lord Young's small business StartUp Kit for 18-25-year-olds.  Bizspace is also supporting Ingenious Britain - a community of businesses dedicated to helping SMEs become successful.  The platform is also backed by the Prime Minister David Cameron, Business Secretary Vince Cable, Sir James Dyson, Mary Portas and Lord Sugar.
