We are delighted to have been voted the best transport provider in the industry for the second time.
This week we scooped the title of Best Supply Chain/Logistics Company, as voted by furniture trade publication Interiors Monthly. We won the same award in 2010.
Andrew Porter Limited has made significant investments to enhance its furniture logistics provision over the past 18 months and counts some of the UK and Ireland's leading furniture manufacturers and retailers among its clients. These include La-Z-Boy, Nolte Mobel, Perfect Home and HSL.
We carry out deliveries of stock to retailers as well as home deliveries to customers. We manage returns and even carries out product installations for certain clients.
Managing director, Tim Aspey, explained how the firm is evolving in order to stay a step ahead of competitors to provide customers with the best possible service.
"We have invested in new systems to reduce damage and minimise cancelled deliveries, while improving communications between all levels of the supply chain," he said.
"We realise that communication is the key to excellent customer service and is essential in order to operate efficiently.
"It is very pleasing to have won this award on a second occasion, particularly as we are celebrating the milestone of our 40th year in business this year."
Andrew Porter Limited operates from the largest specialist storage warehouse in the North of England, which has recently undergone a full refurbishment. It has a fleet of more than 60 vehicles and carries out approximately 3,500 deliveries per week.
