We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been voted best Supply Chain/Logistics Company in the furniture industry for the third time.

Our success in the Interiors Monthly awards couldn’t come at a better time as we are celebrating our 20th anniversary of furniture logistics. The prestigious accolade is given to the business which receives the most votes from retailers and manufacturers, making the achievement extra special for us as customer service is our top priority.

The awards are organised by Interiors Monthly, one of the UK’s leading furniture trade magazines and we have come out on top in this category twice before – in 2013 and 2010.

Our managing director Tim Aspey said: “These particular awards mean so much as they are based on votes from within the industry. I’d like to thank everyone who voted for us, as well as the fantastic furniture logistics team we have here.”

Andrew Porter Limited first began offering furniture logistics services back in 1995 and we now provide a wide range of services to retailers, manufacturers and importers all over the UK. These include furniture storageretail delivery and white glove home delivery.

 

Growth in deliveries

Our busy fleet of more than 60 furniture logistics vehicles carry out around 3,000 deliveries every month.

Tim added: “Our home deliveries are now at an all time high, after winning additional business from existing clients and contracts from new customers over the summer.  We will continue to innovate and forward-plan to make sure our customers always get the very best from us.”

This latest honour comes hot on the heels of award success earlier in the year. We were highly commended for innovation at this year’s Red Rose Awards and our general manager Henry Worsley received the Lancashire Business View High Flying Young ‘Un award in June for the impact he has made at the company.

Although Andrew Porter has been a removals company for more than 40 years, the furniture logistics side of the business is fast becoming one of our most popular services. It began with just a few deliveries for Chorley-based Cavendish Upholstery back in 1995 and the company has remained a valued customer. Other clients include La-Z-Boy UK, PerfectHome and HSL.
